Chase's Story
On December 29, 2012, William Daniel 'Chase' Underhill was involved in a tragic speed racing competition. Seven teenagers in two trucks were involved in the competition. As a result of the choices made, Chase is no longer here to share his story. Thousands of lives were forever changed that cold, December evening. In hopes to prevent future families from experiencing the heartbreak of losing a loved one, Chase's family created an educational non-profit organization, Choices for Chase.
Rain or shine, Chase was outside. While spending most of his time hunting or fishing, Chase also loved spending time with his family, friends, and man's best friend, "Chloe." He had a contagious laugh and a heart as large as the hugs he shared with others. Chase was a member of the Future Farmers of America at Orange High School. All proceeds donated to Choices for Chase directly benefit high school seniors in their higher education endeavors.

We are fortunate to have partnerships with NC Governor's Highway Safety Program, JoCo Teen Drivers Program, Crash Prevention Network - The Right Choice, and Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D), to name a few. Ashley, on behalf of Choices for Chase, co-founded the AAA Carolinas Traffic Safety Advocacy Board and is part of the AAA Carolinas Traffic Safety Foundation Speaker's Bureau, as well as, NC Vision Zero Task Force of the Executive Committee for Highway Safety.
